Drawing inspiration from Brutalist architecture, atlas is an armchair characterised by its raw structural honesty and contrasting geometries. The design combines the heavy, monolithic appearance of two three-layer boards with a rhythmic, radiating arrangement of ash wood slats.
A key aspect of the project is the experimental approach to joinery — the connection between the slats and the supporting structure is realized solely through LIGNOLOC wooden nails. atlas emerges as a sculptural seat that explores the intersection of traditional craftsmanship and modern fastening technology.
